stalking

Stalking can be very scary for the folks experiencing it, especially with how the media romanticizes stalking behavior. Folks experiencing stalking may be confused about whether what they are experiencing is wrong and may have folks in their lives dismiss the stalker’s behavior.

Below are some signs that someone may be experiencing stalking.

  • Lying in wait for someone outside of their home, class, job, etc.

  • Threatening, or actually, destroying someone's property

  • Repeatedly contacting someone when they have asked you to stop

  • Using third parties (family, friend, classmates, co-workers, etc.) to contact/track someone

  • Following or tracking someone's location without their knowledge and/or consent

  • Sending someone unwanted messages, emails, and gifts

  • Harming someone's reputation in the community

  • Hacking into someone's online accounts

  • Gaslighting
